Where are we? Who are we?

What do we have to offer?

The adult population is less than 500, but the village boasts a thriving Primary School, the  Lophams Village Hall (shared with our neighbours in South Lopham), St. Nicholas' Church, the Methodist Chapel, the Post Office and Shop, and the King's Head pub, along with several other Businesses.

A history of the village and surrounding area can be found in the book 'A History of the Lophams', by Michael Friend Serpell (ISBN 0 85033 371 7) - now out of print but available from Norfolk Library Services or through second-hand book sellers such as Amazon.

Fancy a closer look? There are several 'Holiday Cottages' in the Village (try typing 'North Lopham Cottage' into Google), and local estate agents (mainly in Diss) will usually have one or two properties for sale! We look forward to meeting you.

The War Memorial (on The Street, almost opposite the Post Office) lists the names of villagers who gave their lives in the two World Wars and a recently added memorial stone lists the names of USAAF personnel killed in a mid-air collision over the village in January 1945. A book entitled 'The Lophams Wartime Memories' by Mr. Albert Crook is available from the Post Office.
